McDonald’s Value Menu 2026: McValue Prices, Under $3 Menu & Meal Deals
The McDonald’s value menu is now called McValue. It has four parts: an Under $3 menu with 10 items, a $4 Breakfast Meal Deal, lunch and dinner Meal Deals from $5, and app-only offers. This guide lists every item with calories and protein, does the savings math on each deal and shows what changed from the old Dollar Menu.
McDonald’s Value Menu Prices
Every item on the Under $3 menu costs less than $3 at participating restaurants, the breakfast Meal Deal is $4, and the lunch and dinner Meal Deals are $5 (McChicken) and $6 (McDouble). Restaurants that don’t take part charge their regular prices.

What Is the McDonald’s McValue Menu?
McValue is McDonald’s national value platform. Since April 21, 2026, it has four ways to save: the Under $3 menu, the $4 Breakfast Meal Deal, Meal Deals starting at $5 and app exclusive deals. It replaced the 2025 version, which let you add a second item for $1.

- Where it works: the counter, kiosks, the drive-thru and Mobile Order & Pay in the app.
- Where it doesn’t: McDelivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub, where menu prices are usually higher anyway.
- Who sets the price: about 95% of US McDonald’s are run by franchisees, who set their own prices, so a few locations skip McValue or price Meal Deals higher.

The Under $3 menu has five breakfast items (Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns and a medium Premium Roast Coffee) and five lunch and dinner items (McChicken, McDouble, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a medium soft drink).

Why your McDouble may cost more than $3
Only about two-thirds of US franchisees had signed up for the Under $3 menu by August 2026, according to McDonald’s executives. At the rest, the same items keep their regular prices: a McDouble can run about $4.59 and small fries up to $3.49. Open the app and pick your restaurant to see which price applies before you order.
Spotlight prices: through the year, McDonald’s drops one or two Under $3 items even lower for a limited time. The launch spotlight put the Sausage McMuffin at $1.50 and the McDouble at $2.50. Check the McValue banner in the app for the current spotlight.
$4 Breakfast Meal Deal
The $4 Breakfast Meal Deal pairs a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit with Hash Browns and a small Premium Roast Coffee. Bought separately at typical prices, the same three items cost about $7.54 to $7.75.

The McMuffin version is the better pick for most people: it has 60 fewer calories, 3 g more protein and 330 mg less sodium than the biscuit version. Choose the biscuit if you prefer a softer, buttery bread and don’t want cheese. The deal is served only during breakfast hours, which end at 10:30 a.m. at most restaurants. Calories include black coffee (5 cal). Cream and sugar add more.
$5 McChicken and $6 McDouble Meal Deals
Both Meal Deals come with 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small World Famous Fries and a small soft drink. You choose the sandwich: a McChicken makes it $5, a McDouble makes it $6. McDonald’s lists the Meal Deals as limited time, with no end date announced.

The McDouble deal costs $1 more but gives 8 g more protein (34 g against 26 g) for the same 790 calories. Bought separately, the food alone in the McChicken deal adds up to about $9.12 at typical prices, and the McDouble deal to about $10.37, before you pay for the drink.
Food calories and protein add McDonald’s official values for the sandwich, 4 McNuggets (170 cal) and small fries (230 cal). A small Coca-Cola adds 200 calories; Diet Coke or water adds none.
Is the McDonald’s Value Menu Worth It?
Yes, the Meal Deals are the biggest savings on the menu. At typical à la carte prices, the McDouble Meal Deal saves about $4.37 on the food alone, and the $4 Breakfast Meal Deal saves about $3.75.

- Fewest calories: 4-piece McNuggets (170 cal) or Hash Browns (140 cal).

When to skip McValue
- You want a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder or 10-piece McNuggets: an Extra Value Meal is the better deal.
- You order through delivery apps: McValue prices don’t apply.
- The app shows a stronger weekly offer, such as a free item with a minimum purchase.
Extra Value Meals vs McValue
Extra Value Meals are combo meals on McDonald’s core sandwiches, priced about 15% below buying the sandwich, fries and drink separately. They returned on September 8, 2025, and sit alongside McValue: McValue covers the cheapest items, Extra Value Meals cover the signature ones.

McDonald’s App Deals and MyMcDonald’s Rewards
The McDonald’s app adds a second layer of savings on top of McValue. Rewards members earn 100 points for every $1 spent and get rotating offers in the Deals tab, such as a free medium fries with a $1 purchase, which ran weekly until October 4, 2026.
- Join MyMcDonald’s Rewards in the app; app deals require you to opt in.
- Pick your restaurant first. The app then shows that location’s real McValue prices.
- Add a deal before you pay. Most app offers are limited to one use per week or per order.
- Scan your Rewards code at the counter or drive-thru if you don’t order in the app, so the points still count.
- Play MONOPOLY. Through November 1, 2026, eligible orders in the app earn bonus Chance Card plays.
McDonald’s Value Menu vs Other Fast-Food Chains
McDonald’s and Taco Bell now run nearly the same model: about ten items at $3 or less. Wendy’s bundles a full meal at $4 to $8, which is closer to McDonald’s Meal Deals than to its Under $3 menu.

Tips to Pay Less at McDonald’s
A few habits stretch the value menu further.
- Build your own combo. A McDouble, small fries and a medium soft drink from the Under $3 menu can undercut a regular combo even without a deal.
- Order coffee in medium. The medium Premium Roast is on the Under $3 menu; the small is not.
- Swap the drink. Choosing water or Diet Coke in a Meal Deal saves 200 calories at no extra cost.
- Skip delivery for value orders. Pick up through Mobile Order & Pay to keep McValue pricing.
- Compare two nearby restaurants. Prices differ by franchisee, sometimes by more than a dollar on the same item.
McDonald’s Value Menu FAQ
What is the cheapest thing on the McDonald's menu?
The cheapest food items are on the Under $3 menu, usually Hash Browns, small fries, the Sausage Burrito and the 4-piece McNuggets. The exact cheapest item depends on your restaurant's prices.
Is the McDonald's value menu available all day?
Yes for the lunch and dinner items, which are served from the end of breakfast until close. The breakfast items and the $4 Breakfast Meal Deal are available only during breakfast hours.
Does the $5 Meal Deal still exist?
Yes. The McChicken Meal Deal is $5, while the McDouble Meal Deal went up to $6 on April 21, 2026. Both are part of McValue.
Can I use McValue prices on DoorDash or Uber Eats?
No. McDonald's says McValue offers exclude McDelivery, so delivery apps charge regular menu prices plus fees.
Is the Snack Wrap on the value menu?
Not on the Under $3 menu. The Snack Wrap had a $2.99 launch price through the end of 2025; it is now a regular menu item at a higher price.
How long will the Under $3 menu last?
McDonald's calls the Under $3 menu an everyday price, so it has no set end date. The Meal Deals are labeled limited time, and the spotlight prices change during the year.
