McDonald’s Snack Wrap: Price, Calories & Ranch vs Spicy

The McDonald’s Snack Wrap is back on the US menu for good: one McCrispy chicken strip, shredded lettuce, cheddar jack cheese and either Ranch or Spicy Pepper Sauce in a soft flour tortilla. It returned nationwide on July 10, 2025, after nearly a decade away, at $2.99. Here’s what it costs now, how the two flavors differ and how it compares with other cheap McDonald’s items.

How Much Is a Snack Wrap at McDonald’s?

A McDonald’s Snack Wrap typically costs $2.99, the price it relaunched at in July 2025, for either Ranch or Spicy. Some restaurants charge more, and delivery apps add markups, so two wraps usually land between $6 and $8.

Ranch vs Spicy Snack Wrap

The two Snack Wraps share the same McCrispy Strip, lettuce, cheese and tortilla. The Ranch uses a cool, creamy buttermilk ranch; the Spicy uses Spicy Pepper Sauce, the same habanero-style sauce as the Spicy McCrispy, so the chicken itself isn’t spicier.

What’s in a McDonald’s Snack Wrap?

Each Snack Wrap has five components: one McCrispy Strip, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar jack cheese, sauce and a flour tortilla. The strip is the same black-pepper-breaded chicken breast strip McDonald’s sells as McCrispy Strips.

The original 2006 Snack Wrap used a different, smaller chicken strip; today’s uses a larger McCrispy Strip. Learn more in our McCrispy and McCrispy Strips guide.

Two wraps bought on their own plus a medium fries usually cost about the same as the meal, so the meal mainly saves you on the drink.

Is the Snack Wrap a Good Value?

Yes. At $2.99, a Snack Wrap delivers about 5.7 g of protein per dollar, more than a McDouble, McChicken or Cheeseburger at typical prices. It’s one of the cheapest ways to get real chicken at McDonald’s.

Snack Wrap Ordering Tips

Small requests that make a Snack Wrap better.

  1. Swap the sauce. Ask for Creamy Chili or extra Ranch inside instead of the standard sauce.
  2. Eat it first. The tortilla softens as it sits; wraps travel worse than sandwiches on delivery.
  3. Pair it cheaply. Two wraps plus a small fries from the Under $3 menu often beat a meal price.
  4. Go late. Snack Wraps are on the late-night menu at restaurants open late.
